Therapy groups require a pre-group interview and assessment. During the assessment, the group leader and the prospective member look at some of the reasons the new member might have for joining the group and develop goals for the work that they will do in the group. All therapy groups require a fee for each group session. It is often possible to use medical insurance to cover the cost of a therapy group. All therapy groups are available on a sliding fee basis. Please discuss any concerns about fees with the group leader. Our goal is to make our services available to everyone.
Support groups can be open, (meaning that you can simply show up) but often require some contact with the group leader before you become a member. Check the group description to see what is required to join the group. Some of our support groups are intended to be educational and may be highly structured. Other support groups have less structure and are constructed to facilitate interactions between group members. Every group is intended to bring together group members who are experiencing similar life events. Many of the support groups are offered without a fee. Some groups may have a modest fee for each group. If you are unable to meet any of our fee requirements, please contact the group leader. Our goal is to make our services available to everyone.
