Family Support Services
We know it can be difficult to work, to attend school, and to raise a family. That is why NIP believes parents need support, too. We offer support to parents and guardians by providing home visits, parent information sessions and support groups, and advocacy and referral services.
Family Events
Several times within the year events are held for youth to come together and enjoy activities with their family and meet other participants. In the Spring we hold family BINGO, Back-to-School in August, and Gingerbread house making in December.
Adopt-A-Family
The Adopt-A-Family program serves families during the Holiday Season, a time that can be overwhelming for families with limited resources. People in our community sponsor or "Adopt" a family. This means they anonymously give newly purchased, wrapped gifts and food to families in need. The families who are adopted have children or youth participating in our Youth Programs.

Clothes Closet
Every year, our Youth Program receives new winter clothing from local organizations and individual donors and gives them to families and children in need.
School Supplies
Due to generous donations from our partners, students in our After School Programs receive free backpacks, folders, notebooks, markers, crayons, pens, and pencils at the beginning of every school year.
School Liaison
Our Youth Program has a great relationship with Minneapolis Public School and can help improve connections between parents and teachers.
Community Events
NIP has generous partners that often provide families and mentors free tickets to attend sporting events, museums, theater performances and other social events.
