RSAC

We provide caring, competent and affordable services to survivors of sexual abuse and assault in the Minneapolis - St Paul metro area regardless of sex or gender identity.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Center (RSAC) was opened by the Neighborhood Involvement Program in 1972 as one of the first rape crisis centers in the country. Over the years, we have broadened our focus to include childhood sexual abuse, secondary victims of sexual violence, legal advocacy and community education and prevention programming. Through the dedication of our trained staff and volunteers we have helped thousands of individuals in the healing process.

Our primary mission at the Rape and Sexual Abuse Center is to provide caring, competent and affordable services to survivors of sexual abuse and assault in the greater Minneapolis - St Paul metro area regardless of sex or gender identity. The RSAC is committed to educating professional colleagues and the general public about sexual trauma.  We firmly believe that information and understanding are critical to preventing and breaking the cycle of sexual violence and trauma.

Clinical services are provided by licensed social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists, graduate students and professional volunteers.  Community education and advocacy services are provided by staff, students and trained volunteers.

All advocacy services and support groups are free and available to sexual assault survivors and concerned persons regardless of sex or gender identity. Individual and group therapy is offered on a sliding fee basis.  Some insurance plans are accepted.
